What to do, or not
What to do, or not
Do not park under the trees, this compacts the soil which restricts healthy growth.
Make flower beds under trees, plant grass if flowers can’t be done.
Do not make a soil heap against the base of a tree – a volcano shape soil is unhealthy.
Prune any coppices – thin shoots at the base (waterlote)
Ensure any wounds are sealed
Do NOT prune any municipal tree – phone the
Parks Department for assistance.
Losen the soil around the base of a tree and make a small furrow for water.
Remove paving around the trees or replace it with permeable options if unavoidable.
Do not apply any signs to our oaks, no nails or staples may be used
